Five months ago, when I first wrote about Bias for Action in Issue #2, the fundamental question was whether to try AI at all. Analysis paralysis was the enemy. Leaders debated risk assessments while competitors shipped experiments.

That world is gone.

The question has shifted fundamentally: what happens when experimentation costs approach zero?

This principle hasn't changed. But the environment it operates in has transformed beyond recognition.

The Collapse of Experimentation Cost

Three shifts have converged to make this a different conversation than the one we had in October:

Vibe coding has gone mainstream. Andrej Karpathy coined the term in 2025 to describe building software through description rather than traditional engineering. Y Combinator's latest batch tells the story: 25% of startups report 95% AI-generated code. Lazar Jovanovic, Lovable's first professional "vibe coder," is a non-engineer shipping production software. The Speed-Outcomes Paradox

Here's where it gets interesting — and where most leaders are getting it wrong.

Design for reversibility. More reversible decisions enable more aggressive action. Staged rollouts, feature flags, and A/B tests aren't signs of hesitation — they're infrastructure that supports safe action at scale.

Lazar Jovanovic's workflow represents bias for action at its extreme: describing intent, iterating through AI conversation, and shipping. His success demonstrates something important — when AI tooling collapses the coding barrier, product sense and customer empathy matter more than technical depth. Clarity of intent becomes the differentiator.

This doesn't mean engineering expertise is irrelevant. It means the bar for experimenting has dropped so low that not experimenting is the riskier choice.
